``Is America Islamophobic?'' The question, sparked by the controversy over the response to the proposed mosque and community center near ground zero in New York, screamed at me from the cover of a recent Time magazine nestled amid the comfort and chaos of my kitchen table.

Bob Woods gave some advice Friday to Muslims wanting to build an Islamic center and mosque near ground zero in New York. "The bottom line, and I'm not a prejudiced person, but get out of Dodge," said Woods, a 63-year-old Vietnam veteran and a Fontana resident.

There is a move afoot to arrange a land swap so that the "mosque at ground zero" can be built farther away from the site of controversy. Moving this building might be expedient but it is a very bad idea for several reasons.
